Exploring the Intersection of Artificial Intelligence and Personal Demographics: An Invitation to Participate in a Research Survey
As artificial intelligence (AI) continues to permeate daily life and reshape human interaction, understanding who uses these technologies and how they influence user behavior has become increasingly important. To that end, a comprehensive research survey is underway, led by Kaeley, a dedicated undergraduate psychology student at Florida Atlantic University.
Purpose of the Study
This research aims to explore the demographics and personality traits associated with the usage of generative AI tools—specifically conversational AI applications such as ChatGPT, Replika, Character.ai, Google Bard, Google Gemini, Anthropic Claude, and Perplexity. The study seeks to identify patterns and interactions between users’ backgrounds and their engagement with these advanced language models, providing valuable insights into the societal and psychological factors driving adoption.
Who Can Participate?
The survey is open to any individual aged 18 and above, regardless of geographical location. While minors under 18 are excluded, individuals from all countries are encouraged to participate, making this an inclusive global research effort. Participants’ responses will remain anonymous, with no personally identifiable information collected, ensuring privacy and confidentiality. The entire process is designed to be straightforward and should take approximately 10 to 15 minutes to complete.
Survey Details
It is important to note that the focus of this study is on chatbot-specific generative AI tools. This includes platforms like ChatGPT, Replika, Character.ai, and similar services that facilitate human-like conversations. The study explicitly excludes generative AI without conversational capabilities, such as art generation tools like Midjourney or DALL-E, as well as AI-powered editing tools like Grammarly or ProWritingAid. Additionally, it does not cover algorithms embedded in video games or social media platforms.
Participation and Data Security
Participation is entirely voluntary, and respondents may exit the survey at any point without any repercussions. All data will be stored securely on private servers, with strict measures in place to protect participant anonymity and privacy.
