Planning a European adventure after a transatlantic cruise can be both exciting and challenging, especially when faced with limited time and multiple destination options. Our upcoming voyage departs Miami in March or April 2028, marking my first time traveling across the Atlantic and exploring Europe. The 16-night Explora Journeys cruise will take us through a series of captivating destinations: a couple of Caribbean stops, a transoceanic crossing, Funchal in Portugal, Cádiz and Málaga in Spain, culminating in Barcelona. My fiancé and I, a same-gender male couple in our mid-30s from the Los Angeles area, are eager to make the most of this milestone trip.

Struggling with Destination Dilemmas

Post-cruise, we plan to spend approximately six days exploring Europe further. Given that two of our ports are Spanish, we feel a single night in Barcelona should suffice to reset before heading elsewhere. Our key question: should we venture north to Paris, London, or perhaps attempt both?
