Optimize Your European Adventure: Seeking Expert Feedback on Our Barcelona, Porto, and Lisbon Itinerary
Planning a whirlwind European trip can be both exciting and overwhelming, especially when time is limited. Recently, I shared our travel itinerary covering the vibrant cities of Barcelona, Porto, and Lisbon, and I would greatly appreciate the insights and recommendations of experienced travelers. Our goal is to maximize our experience within a tight schedule, as our visa expires soon and additional time off isn’t an option.
Below is our current plan:
October 22: Depart London for Barcelona, arriving by mid-afternoon.
October 23: Full day exploring Barcelona’s iconic sights.
October 24: Another day in Barcelona, including a booked guided tour of the Sagrada Família.
October 25: Travel from Barcelona to Porto via flight.
October 26: Explore Porto’s highlights.
October 27: Another day in Porto; considering a day trip to the Douro Valley. Note: We’re not wine enthusiasts, so we’re curious if this experience is worth it for non-wine activities or scenic views.
October 28: Catch a train from Porto to Lisbon, arriving by mid-afternoon.
October 29: Spend the day exploring Lisbon’s iconic neighborhoods and landmarks.
October 30: Return to London later in the afternoon.
Given the brevity of this itinerary, we’re eager to refine it for a richer, more meaningful experience. If you have suggestions on must-visit attractions, hidden gems, or alternative activities, please share! We’re also open to advice on whether certain day trips, like the Douro Valley, are worthwhile despite our interests.
Thank you in advance for your valuable insights—this community’s feedback has always enhanced our travel adventures. Looking forward to your recommendations!
Your feedback can help us make this trip unforgettable. Safe travels and happy touring!
