Call me an idiot but the best Pizza I have ever tasted was my own, but after that it must be Moneglia’s Il Ciocco Pizzeria in Liguria Italy.

Discovering Exceptional Pizza in Italy: A Personal Journey
Food enthusiasts often find themselves on a quest to discover the most authentic and delectable culinary experiences. During a recent trip to Italy with my family—an indulgence disguised as a vacation—I had the pleasure of exploring various local pizzerias and savored some unforgettable flavors.
While it’s common to see highly-rated establishments with near-perfect Google reviews, sometimes these reputations don’t translate into an exceptional tasting experience. In my case, the best pizza I’ve ever enjoyed was surprisingly homemade. Nonetheless, I must highlight a standout find during my trip: Il Ciocco Pizzeria in Moneglia, Liguria.
Il Ciocco Pizzeria exemplifies that memorable dining experiences aren’t solely about ratings—they’re about quality, authenticity, and the passion behind the craft. The flavors and craftsmanship I encountered there truly blew me away, leaving a lasting impression and setting a new standard for what good pizza should be.
Additionally, I’d like to give a special mention to Glory Pop in Milan, a relatively new establishment that has already garnered attention for its innovative approach and delicious offerings.
Food adventurers, I’m curious—what are some of your favorite pizzerias or culinary discoveries from your travels? Share your experiences and recommendations—I’d love to hear your stories.
