While Gemini provided a suitable cooking method, it subsequently asked whether I intended to use seasonings, then followed up by inquiring about specific ingredients like cream of chicken and vegetables. When I mentioned I might add buffalo sauce, the AI further probed about my preferred type of sauce.

The Pros and Cons of AI Questioning

These additional questions aim to refine recommendations, tailoring responses to user preferences. From an AI development standpoint, this approach facilitates more personalized and accurate assistance. It’s an effort to understand user needs better, potentially leading to more satisfactory results.

However, from a user’s perspective, this continuous questioning can be perceived as intrusive or distracting. In my case, I simply wanted clear, concise instructions, not a conversational interrogation. The frequent prompts to specify details feel unnecessary and even disruptive to the task at hand.
