Understanding the Impact of AI Chatbot Usage on Emotional Well-being: Invitation to Participate in Academic Research
In recent years, artificial intelligence (AI) chatbots such as ChatGPT, Replika, Character.ai, and others have become increasingly integrated into daily life. These digital companions and tools offer new opportunities for interaction, learning, and entertainment. However, alongside these benefits, questions arise regarding their influence on users’ emotional health and dependency patterns.
Research Background and Objectives
As part of a master’s thesis, we are conducting a scholarly investigation to explore the relationship between AI chatbot usage and emotional dependence. The primary goal is to identify how frequent interaction with these digital agents may affect emotional well-being, anxiety levels, and reliance behaviors among users.
Participation Details
- Estimated Time Commitment: Approximately 7 to 10 minutes
- Confidentiality: All responses are collected anonymously, ensuring participant privacy
- Eligibility: Open to individuals aged 13 and above, regardless of prior experience with chatbots
- Survey Content: Questions will focus on your patterns of AI chatbot engagement, emotional responses, and mental health indicators such as anxiety levels
